Although, internet helps us to connect with each other in the world just by sitting at our homes,our private information can also be used to harm us in different ways. The people who steal our information and use it against us are called hackers. Generally, there are 2 kinds of hackers- 1)Black hat hackers, those hackers who use illegal means to harm us. 2)White hat hackers, these work under rules and regulations provided by government to protect us from various cyber crimes caused by black hat hackers.

What Is Anonymous And How It Started?

There is a famous group of hackers who illegally works for the welfare of the humanity.The biggest hacker group, Anonymous who fights against corruption, terrorism and wrong doings of governments by using their amazing technological power. But no one knows who are those people and where they operate from. Some says that the group consists children from age 12 to old people of age 65 years. It is said that this group was started in 2003 on a 4chan.org website. On this website, people could express their views about different things while others could respond to them. Once a person was making fun of a political leader along with posting the leader's photos. He was then abused by one of the supporters of the leader. Another user named Anonymous supported the person who made fun of the political by stating that everyone has freedom to express their views but the supporter kept on abusing the person. The user Anonymous, after getting frustrated, hacked the supporter's account and published his personal details on the site with a warning. A message was left from Anonymous through the hacked account-

Expect us.

Later on this became a famous quote by Anonymous. Thousands of hackers around the world started joining Anonymous.They became famous for their well-doings for the humanity.

Different Work Done By Anonymous

They gained most of their popularity when they supported a site called Wikileaks. It is a site which make the information about corrupted politicians and their secrets publicly . This website used to run on donations by their users. The politicians wanted to stop this site, so they ordered the banks to stop any transaction made for this site for some months. Anonymous hacked the banks to continue the payment made for Wikileaks. Anonymous also started to fight ISIS, a terrorist groups by destroying most of their websites to break their numerous links. For their noble work, they are also called Digital Robin Hoods.In 2012, Times listed them under 100 most influential people. They even hacked United States' former president Donald Trump's website as he banned muslims. This act was not liked by Anonymous. Many people around the world have been arrested in suspicion of being part of Anonymous group. Even after this, they never step down from raising their voice for benefits of humanity.
